Are PSX4All & PCSX Maemo still being actively worked on? I've seen it mentioned several times that one or both intend to add GPU acceleration (which would presumably make games run at a full 30 or 60fps). Is this true? If so, I'll wait to play around with them until this is implemented ... it just seems a little too slow and buggy at the moment. The reason I ask is that the latest versions date from about 6 months ago.
Also, on a similar topic, does anyone know if they're enabling GPU support for mupen64?
PSX4M is slightly better (and newer) than PSX4ALL.
Basically smoku (the author of this emu) left because he got pissed at nokia.
What I'm personally waiting for is the PCSX for pandora to come out with GPU accel. When that's done porting it to maemo is a cakewalk.
Thanks. I'd imagine a slightly overclocked N900 (800 or 900mhz) using GPU accelleration ought to be able to play any PSX / Saturn (if an emulator existed) or N64 game at full speed, possibly Gamecube too.
Do you have any idea when the new PCSX version is likely to be done?
im not 100% sure bit i think the thing thats holding emulation down the most is emulation of the gte and not the gpu, but gpu hardware accelaration would still be great and help performance.
Oh and i read somewhere that idle detection would help performance big times.
im still hoping franxis and chui are releasing there pcsx4all source code and somebody can port it to n900/pandora.
last thing i heard from tinnus was that he is still sometimes working on gpu acceleration but not that much cause he havent heard from zodttd in a while(soo it could take allot of time till the gpu plugin is finished).
oh and @bluefoot mupen46plus already has gpu acceleration

No way N900 can emulate the Nintendo Gamecube.
Gamecube Gecko CPU and ATI Flipper are way more powerful than Cortex A8 ( even with an agressive overclock ) and PowerVR SGX.
