i installed fMMS for some silly reason... probably because i've got one mate who insists on sending me the occasional MMS, even when i tell him just to use e-mail.
i filled in the MMS settings as necessary for T-Mobile, my provider, but it never worked right... and i realized i didn't really need it in the first place.
uninstalled fMMS, but now there's an internet connection listed that came up as a result of the MMS settings. the phone keeps grabbing it, but of course it's a dead end for regular data usage.
i went into settings, but deleting it is not an option there.
can anyone tell me how to get rid of it? as many of you have undoubtedly also become with the N900, i'm reliant on the data connection and it's a massive pain when it hops on the MMS connection and i lose all my data connectivity until i can disconnect it and point it to proper t-mobile data connection.
I can delete any connection - yet when i get to the 2nd 3g connection the "delete" button is not accessable anymore.
And i also have this 2nd connection because of fmms & it never worked.
And i blame nokia - as - mms is one standard feature that simply must be available in a mobile.
I hardly ever use it - and still i DO need it SOMETIMES.
And sometimes does not go along with - not available at all.
I can not delete the 3g connection that is allready there with fAPN.
Only if the connection was created using fAPN in the first place.
Other ideas?
I mean this is linux.
I think there is an editable file somewhere, where all connections are listet & thus can be deleted.
Another idea - maybe i can not delete 3g because i would need superuser rights to do so?
If that's the case - i would only need to know how to start the editor in a terminal...
