Well.. it seems like we are waiting for the PR1.3 update, and I reckon it will come (my opinion).. But then, hey.. Why get frustrated? Lets just wait till it comes (if it does), and if not then we can think of another solution at that time. There has been no official word on PR1.3 and there hasn't been any word about PR1.3 not coming.
There are more important things going on this world than this PR1.3 update
i reckon that nokia should have frequent updates fixing fewer number of bugs at one time, instead of having a big-ish update fixing higher number of bugs at one time.
i dont even care much for PR updates, just want Qt for some N8 apps that dont require multitouch. this phone is awesome. just want figa's gba emulator!

And it requires Qt 4.7? Given the N8 ships with Qt 4.6 - as does the N900 with PR1.2 - it sounds like you, or "figa"(?), is confused.
Are there any Qt 4.7 apps (that are available for N8 for example) that would work with the N900?
Not without recompiling, no. If you have the source code, then they should be compilable for the N900 (though there may be source code changes needed, depending on how screen-res, etc. has been handled).
