must have been pop, it was whatever the default is,
i'm not a big email user tho so i've never looked too much into it

do you use outlook, that should store them on your pc for you so you'll always have a backup of them

well the thing is I do want them on my client, just not on my phone. With nokia messaging i had it set up to only sync the inbox.



@matthew - yeh i have outlook for POP so i have a permanent backup in case anything goes wrong, and i have thunderbird IMAP which is my main one. In the worst case scenario, i do have backups. I'd just rather have that option to only sync select folders
