First, let me just say that I'm probably going to order one, so this is not a post about disliking the device.

However... as someone who gladly downsized from a PPC-6700 to a Moto Q CDMA phone, let me just say that the slide out keyboard was the absolute pits. Here's hoping that Nokia did a better job than HTC. I'm concerned about how the keyboard is secured when closed and how it feels when it is open. The 6700 had a less-than-stellar feel because the keyboard would become loose over time, and it made the device feel flimsy.

With these OLPCs and Eees shipping out with open source office suites, can we PLEASE have an office suite for the tablets?

It's a good keyboard. Don't worry. Also, it will become even better after some use.

Amen.

Word processor with ODF and .doc support, spreadsheet, true IMAP client, calendar, todo list, and sync support for bookmarks, contacts, calendar events, and todo lists.

How does the design prevent the sliding keyboard from becoming loose after repeated use? Is the keyboard secured with magnets as with the successor to the 6700 (the 6800 aka Mogul)?

I'm going to have to try one out. Which B&M stores will carry this bad boy?
