i am expecting my nokia n900 in the mail by tuesday.

i am currently using the n96 , and i do know they are completely different ends of the spectrum.

i am just looking for some guidance and tips and just general help with my device when it arrives because it seems so overwhelming, yet i do not want to shy away from using such a powerful and under the radar device.

i have seen videos of folks using snes and n64 on their n900 with hdmi connecting to the plasma screen tv with ps3 controllers using to control the game action, upon sight of such, i was sold on the n900.

what a device!

again, sorry in advance for being such a newbie to the n900 and i please ask for your patience with me!

thank you!!

I think you've seen that part wrong! N900 doesn't have HDMi sorry to disappointing you. It got only Composite AV out.

for some reason, incoming call are being forwarded to my voicemail? i tried to calling my handset to checkmy notification settings, and the phone i was calling from would not ring it would be silent for sometime, then my voicemail would start playing.

i restarted the phone and it is working okay thus far

any idea why?

yeah dude make a backup of your phone every day for the first week, you will probably install so much junk once you figure out how, it tends to get screwed up from that
