I remember that I used to have skype on my phone but sometimes ago I had clear my device, since then Skype is not there how do I get it back?
and there are no ring tones except Nokia ring tone, any help is appreciated?

Have You clicked on "New" in VoIP an IM accounts. I missed it when I got my N900 last December.

YES i did there is no skype there!!!and when i tried to download it says "preinstalled" also i could not find it in "uninstall" (i thought if it is there in n900 ishould reinstall it but same result)

what country are u from? b/c in some country's firmware it is disabled.
only way round it if your one of the disabled locations is flash n900 with global image version.

well i m from india! and i think if i flash n900 the warrnty woul not valid ..(there are many people who says flash it again with indian ver. before u go to nokia service center..i know this but what if moblie does not start or anything comes that let not me reflash again.no WARRNTY then...

Well yes Flash back to your older Firmware which ever one was installed first on your phone , If your phone has a damaged Hardware , if the cause being is that you overclocked your device or some other accidental damage , you're out of luck , probably it is your responsibility to safeguard your phone from such problems .

why can not we download skype for n900 from internet and install it?is it possible??

because it is internal component and nokias policy is that it comes with the firmware only.
