It is really can not image for that N900 can not support Java.

I have search many times on web try to find any solution to let my N900 support Java. but there is no any prefect way. also the internet said icedtea6 could works, but actually it is also not run very good and not easy.

I think the maemo team have responsibility to work out it and let N900 users have more option to run Java programs.

Why? because now only maemo listed app. is not enough and some are poor. there is a lot of games, app. etc are using Java. then N900 could have a lot of fun to paly.

You can go ahead and install the "icedtea6" package. It works fine... Just no browser plugin support that I've seen.
You even get full Desktop Java support. It is, however, fairly slow. Runescape, for instance, runs at around 1fps, though the fact that it runs at all is sort of amazing all on its own.
