Click my signature to: FM transmitter unlocked...
Then go to page 1, post 3. Download the zip file and place it accordingly. Then your device will change it's swappiness to 50. Edit the file and change it to 20 if you want.

Actually it does not. Although browserd are still running in the background. It does that. It takes little more cpu than normal but it could be to it's cooling down.

Could you do the other things i proposed.. the powertop thing?

I see your problem here.
You should uninstall that cpu applet and exit out of that other thing in your status bar. let me guess Messenger?

Those two things killed battery life and spike the cpu usage. Browser processes also including sms, email as well.

No, cpumem-applet does not use a lot of cpu and does not lead to any extensive battery drainage. So he could keep it.

IM's on the other hand should only be used when needed.

well to me i find it hogging up the cpu once in a while. I checked it and it use a bit of memory and cpu from time to time and especially after a couple of days of up time. It may be just me but i don't have any problem with my device as you can see. My cpu is doing just fine at 5%-7% when i'm opening browser and other applications at the background. See pictures for proof.

If he takes out the CPU applet to test this then he won't lose anything. He can always installing it back afterward if there is no changes.

Simple FMTX Widget = buggy

basically most of the apps from extra devel are buggy. Only trust what you tested yourself. I tested them and make note of which are stable and reflashed to install them afterward. So far so good

Well i have also looked it up.. didn't find anything. My battery last about 3 days.

Simple FMTX Widget, Lockdeamon and Flashlight-extra on the otherhand seams to use a lot of cpu. So there i should be cautious. A Simple FMTX Widget could be done pretty simple with QBW which are nicer to the battery.

Edit: How did you find out that cpumem-applet took battery? Or are it's only an assumption? It's not running an deamon or something.. probably just reads current cpu. Which shouldn't make any big impact.
