Sygic claimed "GPS signal lost" on me this weekend, despite having been navigating happily for 20 mins or so.
So I smell a rat and pull over. I ctrl-backspace to the dashboard and sure enough - no GPS icon (flashing or otherwise) to indicate that a program is trying to get a lock.
Starting location-test-gui, I get a lock almost instantly. Switch back to Sygic and surprise! We're back on track.
Thanks Sygic for crapping out at a critical time & getting me laughed at by a carful of passengers! You guys are really resting on your laurels as the only game in town on the N900.
1. Why in the world does it keep telling me to "KEEP RIGHT" when i'm on a straight road! it's a straight road for god's sake, why would i turn left! it does this every so often on a straight path crossing an intersection (and there is no lane to merge into on the left except the left turn queue lane)
2. Why does it keep saying "RAILWAY CROSSING AHEAD"? Sometimes it says that even when there is no railway crossing! also, why would anyone want to know there's a railway crossing ahead, we have eyes, we can see one ahead! Can we turn this off?
how can we fix these issues, or are these bugs yet to be fixed?

That's probably some errors in the map You're using. Contact Sygic. You're reporting will be appreciated, I guess...
You can disable the railway warnings under Settings -> Advanced Settings...

Hi,
can you please send an example where you see this happening? Route with starting point and destination, plus exact intersection. A screen shot may help also.
We need this data in order to be able to simulate such route and so to understand why this is happening.

Thanks a lot.
This happens way too often that an exact intersection cannot be recalled. But I'll give you an instance when it has happened to me recently:
I navigated from :
11204 170 Street NW
to:
10637 - 124 Street NW
in
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
if you look on the part of the travel path that is a straight path on 111 Avenue, Sygic says "Keep Right" at least once or twice; However on 111 Ave (not sure which interection exactly, but it was a major interection on 111 Ave - possibly crossing 156 street or 149 street) you're supposed to just go straight. There are TWO lanes formed off to the left that are devoted as QUEUES (not part of the flow of straight-flowing traffic) for left-hand turns but Sygic thinks the driver would go to the left for no reason just because these two lanes are formed (probably on the Sygic Maps) so it tells you to keep right.
I attached a quickly drawn schematic diagram, shown below, on paint to outline what it looks like with my car going straight (on 111 ave) through the intersection, but Sygic tells me to "keep right". Sygic does this through basically through every intersection with left queue lanes formed, which is why it is very often and extremely annoying.
Definitely a problem for me as well. Even when I have the N900 plugged into the car charger while driving with MM10 running, I unplug the phone when I reach my destination and have less of a charge than when I started!
The car charger doesn't work while Sygic 10 is running. I hope they fix this fast.
Most the contact addresses from phonebook in Sygic show newline character "\n". Due to this sygic doesnt recognise the address. Is there any way to remove it?
I use Sygic often since months now and I'm quite satisfied with it. The only issue which is quite annoying are the crashes, if you use it 1-2 hours the chance is around 90% that it will crash for unknown reasons. It takes only 2-3 seconds to restart Sygic 10 but its still annoying while you are driving.
I asked other N900 users which I know personally and they have similiar issues, other apps are running just fine including ones which use the GPS module.
