This keeps coming up again and again in this thread so I'll say it out loud: Intel has officially confirmed that MeeGo powered phones won't come until Q2 of 2011. Tablets, notebooks and fridges (or smthn) will come out sooner.
thats okay, it gives me/us time to save up for this so called "N9" which will be pricey (but worth it)
I really have my doubt on "Worth it" part mate.
Nokia always behind competitors in term of OS and hardware. Usually Nokia selling an underpowered device at higher price or equally the same as the competitors.
Eg: N97-mini is the same price as NexusOne and almost the same as Iphone4.
Specs wise Nokia got a lot of small pieces in one package but high spec wise Nokia have ARM11 and low RAM.
Not sure if N9 is going to be over the competitors when we are talking about specs and OS here. Also supporting the device may be the biggest part. Apple has world wide warranty, Droid I don't know, but Nokia is country wise warranty.
N9 will be a undoubtedly expensive and the hardware will not surpassing any devices released in the same year. Question is should we still trust in Nokia to be the early adopter of MeeGO? From Maemo5 point of view (early adopter), it left a big Question mark on my forehead.
(dont know if anyone has posted this already, didnt find it)
So Dualboot is going to be implemented in 1.3 to support MeeGo. Good think, sounds as if our little magic device will somehow be supported by MeeGo. Still no built-in Deathray, though.
