Having memory problems, well at least a notification popped up when i plugged my N900 to my pc saying (roughly translated):

"Memory write-protected until problem has been resolved.
Plug in USB-Cable in order to try to repair memory via pc.
Create backup of your data to secure the contents of memory"

Harsh vibes, what should i do? I couldn't find similar topics about this issue.

Ran fsck in MyDocs, which supposedly fixed something.

"Reclaimed 1 unused cluster." "Free cluster summary wrong (5298 vs. really 5299)"

Is it the OS or rather a hardware thing?

It almost certainly refers to your memory card, do as it says and run scandisk/fsck on the device (either via the PC or on-device). Remember to umount it first if you're using Linux.

Got a nod from Ubuntu's drive manager. Both devices are "clean".
Let's hope it stays that way...
