Is there anyway to save maps / map tiles to the n900 so they are stored permenantly, so I can browse the maps without any download/data connection?

At the moment, I'm trying to use OSM, so any suitable software, Navit/Maperro etc, I don't really mind... But I can't work out how to download and store maps to these softwares.

With Maperro it caches them after first use, but still means I have to browse/load the map tiles in the first instance.

Ideally, I want to be able to use a PC to get the OSM map area and simply store it in my phone/Sd card.
