Exactly what I am thinking too. I have t-mobile $5.99 data plan and I don't want to upgrade to an android data plan for $30 more per month.

No your completely wrong the Archos 43 also comes in a 8gb version which is 200 dollars with HDMI, microsdhc, significantly bigger screen, similar processor, and Android (which is better than iOs in my personal opinion). I myself am getting the 250 dollar 16gb version.

The Archos 43 is on preorder at Amazon for $250. which is 4.3 inches. Everything smaller than that will be too small IMHO. The 3.2-inch is already for sale at Amazon.

BTW, is your N900 a HK version? I don't have one, but I will go back to HK in 2 weeks and hopefully buy a used one if it is cheap over there but it has to be a chinese version.
For me 4.3 or 4.8 inch is a perfect size because they can see a lot but are still very pocketable. I myself can't wait to get the Archos 43.

True but the screen on the 43 is resistive, not capacitive. The lack of multitouch on resistive screen may affect game playability. I may get the archos 70, but I also like the back camera on 43. So, will see.

Hey guys remember the Advent Vega?

Its a pretty hi-end tablet, and there's some new info/video on it.
    http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/17/a...t-might-get-it

Anyone notice that he said during 3:20 - 3:35, that the screen is above 720p but not 1080p. This implies 1366 x 768 (which I pray it has for me to buy it in a heartbeat).
Well hold on a sec, wasn't the tablet specced (or leaked) to come with 1024 x 600? And it makes sense for 600p because that is the highest resolution Froyo supports (according to Google), and this is to increase to 720p (or 1366x768) with Gingerbread.

If you think this is a non-issue, I tell you it is because its a difference of been able to watch/stream HD videos or television and also not needing to resize media. It also means much smoother graphics experience (157PPI vs 119PPI, higher is better) instead of "clunky".

To be honest I prefer resistive touchscreens. I think the 43 will still be a capable games device.

should anyone figure out how to replace the battery on the 43, i might buy it, if my n810 became inoperable. i'm not a fan of planned obsolescence, (or however you want to spell that).
