That's what's so frustrating: they get so much right, but seem unwilling or unable to learn from their successes
Maybe this isn't about Nokia, but about you and me... you're frustrated because they get so much right. I'm happy because they get so much right.
Don't get me wrong: I do see where they could improve - although the points you mentioned are not on my list - but even after almost one year, the pure joy this device brings me each day easily outshines some little imperfections... even more so as I see the rest of the industry so far behind in what's important to me.
Unfortunately, Nokia missed it's chance to bring the iphone-killer on the right way! Real Open Source means so many efforts, such as instant bugfixing and developing. The N900 still lags in some basic features, which are quite important for normal (non-power) users. i really hope, there will be a non-capitalistic alternative soon to merge all the knowledge and share the advantages of an open developement...
portrait mode is imporved definitely
missing virtual keyboard anyway in it
ovi map look a little faster but not sure
gmail management looks faster also
So is there an official list of changes/bugfixes for pr1.3? I've been searching through this thread and was unable to find any official info.
This is the list of the 99 bugs marked as fixed between week 19 (PR1.2) and week 36 (the candidate for PR1.3). Those would be the known fixes. There might be additional changes that weren't reflected in bug tracker.
