I think the issue is being blown up more than necessary.
Even if you not to chose install, you can use the netflix disc streaming only for only 30 more days. After that you have to install update and are not left with a choice. So what is the big deal here?
Well, the big deal is the 30days. If i had known this earlier, i woud still have been able to use my jb ps3 with netflix. Meanwhle, I m sure that someone will find a fix for this.

If I had know before I did it, I would have remain using the disc for the 31 days, and then if no one had figure it out a way around after that, I would then have had an extra 31 days with both option secure, and then probable go with netflix+ps3.
But as right now, I'm thinking maybe I should give some time an see if anyone find a work around, the thing is if I do give time, I will be sacrificing netflix. I probable will give in to update way sooner then 31 days, thats for sure.
y exactly must this be done in qt? the current app works great! it just needs the newest payload and someone to have an eye open on the payloads and keep them current
Have anyone of you successfully launched a game without a disc inserted?
I'm using PL3 and hermesv3 payloads. I'm also using Gaia Manager RC9. When I launch using "Direct boot" option in Gaia Manager usually the game complains about corrupt save data or corrupt trophy data. All games work perfect going back to XBM and select the disc (with a disc inserted).
I cannot get it work. I installed the latest version and when I run it I do not get any kernel messages nor get ps3 in JB mode. What am I doing wrong ?
im contacting one of moderator ( drizzt84 ) in ps3news and he agreed that he will compile the hermes v4 payload for our ps3freedom, just the psfreedom.ko with hermes v4 not the whole gui so im waiting on him and i will post it here for you guys.
