No, it just means it looks like a button is pressed.

Is the widget floating/fixed? Meaning, does it scroll along with the desktop or stay put?

Is it even possible to make 'floating' desktop widgets with fixed position?

The widget is fixed, but you can put multiple widgets on every
    desktop.

This voting is for extras-testing application testers. You should follow the
    Extras-testing/QA checklist.

    Grüss dich, Nicolai,

Couple of things I´d like to throw at you...

First: a sincere thank you. Why this app has not been a part ofthe original distro is beyond me.

Second: Yesterday I noticed some strange behaviour with icons disappearing from my 4 desktops. One by one they just left, as if they no longer liked me or my n900. Adding a new widget to the desktop had no effect. The icons did not reappear.

Than today I noticed the update icon, so I updated but still no icons. Also after a reboot, no luck.I decided to add the widget again and this time they appeared again, with the original settings and at their original location on the desktop.

I don´t know what caused this and at the moment everything works again but I figured I might combine a thanks/request reaction with some actual feedback.

Which brings me to the request. is it possible to add the option to choose for either an icon or a thumb of the actual desktop? I quite regularly change themes and this would be a great usability improvement for me.

Also, this question leads to the following: is the source of this widget available somewhere so, in case you decide or have already decided not to add this functionality, one might be able to add it him/herself?

    Kind regards,
    anthonie

You can already do this by taking screenshots, resize the pics on picresize.com and move them to the desktop-switcher folder in opt/usr/share/pixmaps (i tihnk that's the directory)

Which is why I chose the words I quite regurarly change themes. It's a bit of a pain taking screenshots when you change to a new theme, scale them down and than manually put them where they belong. It's also the reason I asked for the source, as I am sure it's not difficult to implement. Desktop Chooser, the other widget for this functionality has this already implemented, but the actual changing of desktop itself does not work on my n900.

Changing themes doesn't necessarily change the look though. I often change themes but i keep the same backgrounds and leave the icons/widgets in the same place. If you change the backgrounds, or move things around a lot, then that's a different thing altogether.

In the meantime, could you not just label them? I just have '1' '2' '3' from the same iconset as my other icons, and all other screens have a picture of a house for my homescreen
