Innnnnteresting.....

I have heard about the Menlow platform, but I think this device is new to me... Nice find! Micro SD only? :-/

You know what? I think I would be sold if it had some SSD drive

You hear that Nokia? Ditch the SD card slot in favor of a say.... 64 GB SSD drive and keep the same price range

One can always dream....

Looks to me like it's the first REAL IT competitor... it's nearly identical feature wise!

Interesting indeed, like the rest of Intel powered MIDs planned to com next year with Hildon and many other software components common to maemo.

I think, a big difference to Nokias ITs will be the price. With that in it, you can buy a normal UMPC for the same price.

This is one of the new Intel MIDs. There will be more of this sort. That's Intel's interface: http://moblin.org/

I hope someone releases and Intel MID that's pocketable.

btw: This belongs in competitors forum right?

That device was announced quite a while back. It runs chinese red linux, IIRC. And, it's not a product, it's technology platform that they want to license to other manufacturers.

And, it's another example of the form factor I've been touting as "a little better, ergonomically, than the N810" (where only the screen slides, and not the side bars where your hands hold it).

If nokia adopted that form factor, with a screen that can tilt or slide (or both), then I'd be quite happy.
