yea simple just extract the tar, you will find two folder one is omap1 and one is for power kernel , just copy psfreedom.ko replace in /opt/psfreedom/modules/omap1 or power kernel, depends on you. then start the gui psfreedom then click jailbreak but dont touch anything BD emulator or antyhing else.

Kinda confused with the gui psfreedm part
I normally replace the .ko file and jailbreak my PS3 using the n900
( power/eject). How do i use the gui psfreedom?

Okay i understand what psfreedom is now, Its an easy way of installing the files. The only thing is i cant even install the gui version because of some strange error "applications package missing libibqt4-test(>=4.6)
libqt4-script(>=4.6.2~git20100224-0maemo1+0m5

EDIT: After messing around with it, i got it installed.

Hey thanks for the file, unfortunately when i try to install on my jailbroken ps3 it says "An error occured during the installion process"

Hi i need help.

I follow this:

Using the Terminal

* Make sure you have the 'rootsh' package installed from the Application Manager. If you don't have it, then install it.
* Open the X-Terminal application
* In the terminal, type 'root'
* type 'wget http://psfreedom.com/w/images/1/17/P...900-1.1.tar.gz '
* type 'tar -xzvf psfreedom-n900-1.1.tar.gz'
* type 'chmod +x n900-n8x0/psfreedom*.sh'
* type './n900-n8x0/psfreedom-enable-maemo.sh' to enable PSFreedom.
* Follow the instructions on Using PSFreedom to run the exploit on your PS3.
* Once you are type, type './n900-n8x0/psfreedom-disable-maemo.sh' to return the phone to its normal behavior.

Once you are done, you will be able to repeat the procedure simply by opening the Terminal, typing 'root' then running the ./n900-n8x0/psfreedom-enable-maemo.sh script.

But i have this error in xterminal:

2) and then i type this: tar -xzvf psfreedom-n900-1.1.tar.gz

but here come the error in xterminal:

gotta respect the file name perfectly
- just type tar -xzvf
- then press only letter 'P'
- and then press Tabulation
- auto complete done by itself

welcome to Terminal
you didn't enter the file name correctly ( case sensitivity inside ^^ )

ie this is CAPITAL P at the beginning of the file name

I have been looking for something like this for a day now, Thank you, Can you please let us know how you found this? Is it possible to find the .pkg for the US?

Perhaps this has to do with it having the country code of CA? I'm at work so I have not had a chance to test this.
