I suppose it's ridiculous to reply to a newsbot but my comment is really to Nokia...
In light of the substantial benefit of updating the 770:
For those of us who don't have a Windows computer running XP or Win 2K SP3 or better it would be nice if they would get moving on the Linux update mechanism and make it possible to just stop by any of the outlets and get updated.
P.S.: You, of course, knew this. Still. I hate to see a thread end on such a discouraging note. Especially one that ranks so highly on a search for '"nokia 770" linux update'
