Today pr1.3 finally arrived. I installed it right away and noticed that kernel power doesnt work. Does anyone know if i have to wait for new version of kernel or can i just reinstall it ? I really like overclocked n900 thx.
did you have any problems during upgrade to pr1.3?
i have the power kernel installed, and i'm afraid to upgrade.
i've tried de-installing the power kernel from the terminal according to the instructions in the wiki (http://wiki.maemo.org/Kernel_Power#Deinstallation) but the first command seems to start downloading all the updated, so i aborted it.
so my question is if you had the power kernel installed while updating to the new PR and if it caused any problems?
can you type "uname -a" in the terminal and paste here the result (to see if the power kernel was removed)
I un-installed Titan's power kernel yesterday via "apt-get --reinstall install kernel kernel-flasher".
When PR1.3 became available this morning, I found my updated Modest (thanks Mohammadag!) blocked the OTA upgrade. So I tried running "apt-get --reinstall install modest". That downloaded pretty much all of PR1.3 (91megs) and took 20 minutes to update dozens of modules on my phone.
Upon rebooting, the device reported it was running PR1.3, but that several packages were 'held back' from upgrading. I'm now doing a fresh install from the .bin file downloaded from Nokia.com.
my new second device arrived today and i tried OTA update and noticed it was pr1.3
after installation of kernel-power and reboot, i tried to overclock with
Code:
kernel-config load ideal
after reboot the command "show" tells me that im still at
limits 125 600
so i tried to set it myself with
Code:
kernel-config limits 500 900
then my phone was getting off on its own, fast like a reset. after reboot my limits was still at 125 600 and kernel-power complaints about an error and that no overclocking operation was performed.
i think the actual kernel-power version is not usable with PR1.3
we will have to wait for an update
i installed PR 1.3 and all the things i need, rebooted, installed 'enhanced linux kernel for power users (settings)'
clocked it to 850 (ULV)
saved and default
just rebooted now
and it's still clocked.
