From what it seams it is doing different things for different persons..
For me it did erase the apps, I had to restor the backup (also the N900 backup did restore the apps list which needed to be downloaded, the Ovi backup forgot about the apps!!! It is very important to know that I think)
For others it did nothing, just update without removing anything.
I belive noone has lost pictures, movies and music..
If you update with PC Suite it downloads 200mb. Maybe it then only installs the bits that are needed.
The whole 1.3 image is about 191mb, maybe NSU erases the device and installs this one (would explain why some users lose their data, and some not), while Fapman just updates the necessary bits.
ok.. so i updated mine... while on kernel power 40.. everything went ok... i can still run up to 1GHz.... no problem on overclocking.... did mine via OTA...
Round about 1050 upgraded packages ... take some time.
Upgrade works fine.
Build-in Browser more faster then before (especial at loading images & img-maps), Buildin E-Mail-Programm is considerably faster ... on big IMAP-Folders (2000+ msg), too.
The whole behavior is faster ... moving through menus, switching desktops ... even Conky starts instandly ...
Kernel, programs and settings are _not_ wiped.
Edit: ok ... next i should have a better look ... Kernel was updated to "2.6.28-omap1 #1 PREEMPT Fri Aug 6 11:50:00"
but ... the performance with new bunch of software is immense so i dont need the powerkernel for overclocking anymore
But in the System-Info-Tool the version is still shows "10.2010.19-1" ... but who cares?
