It also seems the ram has been improved and after the update i believe a few more apps where added to OVI store.

I haven't tried OC'ing yet but the way it is now is pretty darn good. Too bad no Flash 10.1 but still a great device. I want to see the new apps with QT4.7 roll in!

BTW the way i updated was OTA and it did say the best way to Update was through WLAN. Everytime i try through USA T-Mobile 3.5G my app manager can never get through that port problem of 8080 i think. So WLAN/wifi is the way to go everyone! Start switching those modes! it does take a while though. Make sure to open app manager and connect to wifi and give it 15mins and it will prompt to update.

me too.....before OC i play with the device a bit, and its extra snappy. even having almost 10 gigz of media on the storage

Alright...few questions before I take the plunge...

    1) Assuming I can do it OTA, will it erase the apps I have installed? Some posts seem to suggest yes, while others no. Does OTA or NSU matter? Especially since my N900 refuses to have the driver installed correctly (stupid Win7 64 bit or Ovi Suite or something..)
    2) Multiboot still function? It seems the kernel still works for some people though I know titan is working on a new version too.

Might have a few more but I can't think of them now. All answers are appreciated.

answers (as far as i know of)

1.) no apps will be erased, you wont need to reinstall apps
2.) it should be, coz multi-boot is an app (experts please confirm)

Was stuck at work all day but I needed to re-flash my device anyway. Flashed PR 1.3 no problem, now re-downloading installed software. Happy day!

I have currently my N900 overclocked at 900 MHz with the Titan kernel and several applications which require deeper access in the OS like fCamera and Joikuspot.

Is it better when I uninstall stuff like the Titan kernel first or can I simply install directly the OTA Update? Are there any other steps remaining?

    Thanks in advance

Yeah, except that's not the problem. The problem is, Nokia's app manager stores downloaded packages into the root filesystem, so you need a croptan of free space. So even with no "customizations", it'll fail for a lot of people just because they have too much stuff installed.

Fapman stores downloaded packages in /opt, which is on the home partition, and usually has plenty of free space. So it'll succeed even when HAM fails.

(I'd say Nokia's HAM is made of fail, but that would be an oversimplification; it's really made of 50% fail, 50% lose, and 50% suck...)
