For anyone who has trouble saving space....
a) Take a back up of the device as it is now, before you do anything!!
b) Make sure you have saved any random debs etc that you may need (pismic etc)
c) Start the process of freeing up space!
Remove all apps! (well any you can bear not to live with for a few hours!)
Disable all catalogues except the ones you need for the update
(Then try again)
If still no luck, Read other pages on here on hour to symlink folders across.
Once upgraded, restore your backup and your apps will still be there
- and all my settings where too. There may be the odd case where apps don't store settings correctly, but 95% should be fine

Is the upgrade available OTA in the UK, cos I'm not seeing it. or maybe Nolia just hates my n900 personally. I shall be unable to update for a week if it doesnamt appear this evening.
