Obviously we need another accessory... like a cotton finger cot...

Latex??? ack. Too many people are allergic, and that would get uncomfortable after a while.

We used cotton gloves for QA inspections and I'll stick with something like that.

why is it kool-aid? Nokia had touted the finger friendliness of the tablets before Apple ever came to market...

I use my thumb for almost everything ( or the d-pad ). It took about 5 seconds to turn on the setting in "Text Input->Finger" Launch via rocker. Now I just hit the select button on any text field and use the big onscreen keyboard.

It could be better though since Opera 8 overrides the keypress so I have to mash the location bar to get the big onscreen keyboard.

I rarely ever take the stylus out.

I can remember not too long ago when the "spy shots" of the N810 came out and everybody was up in arms with multiple posts/threads about the looks, shape and NO D-pad on the outside.

Now it seems that it truly is the next NIT, and many are either accepting or "compromising" with the exact thing they we're all slamming just a month or so ago..

Hence my "kool-aid" comment..

You'd have to cross-check who was moaning about what though to truly find kool-aid drinkers.

Personally, I didn't believe in the spy shots - thinking them too prototype-case like to comment. However, the finished article looks really smart (compared with the chrome-like grille on the N800) and the position of the d-pad doesn't bother *me*.
