A few days ago, my 7 month old N900 wouldn't connect to the computer via USB anymore. It charges just fine, but when I connect it to the computer it doesn't show the select-mode-dialog where you can choose between PC suite mode or mass storage mode.

I have tried to connect it to multiple USB-ports on two different computers with two different cables, so I am fairly confident that the fault lies with the device itself.

Have anyone else encountered this problem before? What can I do to fix it?

Also, this is my first post here, although I have been reading the forums since around when I got my N900. I couldn't find another thread with this particular problem, but if there is, do what you have to as far as merging or moving of this thread goes.

What happens to me is that I have to plug/unplug it a few times until it starts charging with the wall charger. With USB cable it works ok.

I have, I've tried other cables and computers aswell. I sent it in for a repair.

after upgrading to 1.3, n900 does not show up automatically in my win 7 directory, I have to start ovi suite for it to show up. When it does show up, I can't transfer files from the pc to the phone in pc suite mode, it has to be mass storage mode.

works in my xp pc though. weird
