I bought 4 month ago my N800 for 300 € (!) and now the price is halfed.
I'm in the same boat, I was going to wait for the new version but was told it would be Q2 2007 before it came out which turning out to be the Wimax version :/
After looking at the N810 and the price I had to go for the N800. Thansk for the link. It saved me from doing a buy it now on ebay for a used one at a highter cost.
wow, I was thinking when the n800 just came out, I'd wait for this price drop. I was actually thinking that 280 was the sweet spot for me to purchase but... Now that the n810 is out at the same time the price drop, maybe I'll just wait another 6 months for another price drop.

I noticed on eBay a used crappy n810 going for $220... I was in shock. And I felt bad that they paid the same price for a used one when they could get it new... I mean buy.com even accepts paypal. which is great.
im so happy i waited another week (i knew it) just ordered mine. yeah ebay sucks sometimes, thats why i always go to pricegrabber and compare prices (buy.com always the cheapest).
I just bought mine from Buy.com on Thursday, it was $239.99 - $10 (the same promo) = $229.99
I haven't even received it yet and they already dropped the price again to $231.99! I wonder if they'll refund me the $8.00 difference... or maybe I should wait a week and see if it drops more!
