When I try to update via the App Manager it starts updating but then displays Operation Failed and reboots. Upon reboot it displays "Installing software update, Please do not interrupt" then goes to desktop.

Additional info:
Version: 2.2009.51-1002
Also if it matters, when the update was downloading it rebooted by itself. I started the app manger again and it downloaded the rest of the update. Could it possibly be a corrupt download?

before you update pr 1.3 v20.2010,36-2. Through app manager u should update to pr 1.2 v10.2010.19-1.
Or u flash via maemo flasher

mine cant update via app manager, says i need ovi suit, do i really need a PC ? I have never flashed so would rather not do this, any advice ?

Flashing is the best option. It's very easy to do and 99% safe as long as you don't unplug the USB. Google "Maemo updating firmware" and there's a huge page dedicated to it.
