Sorry if this problem has been documented elsewhere, but I have searched and can't find it. When I receive an incoming call from contacts, just the number comes up on the screen, not the name that the number is saved under in my contacts. For example, I have my house number saved as home, but when someone rings my n900 from home, the number appears, not the name. Also, this only happens with some numbers. I have the numbers saved correctly as well eg. home as a phone number and mobiles as mobile number. Anyone have any ideas? Can anyone help?

By the way, it was doing this on pr 1.2 and now pr 1.3, but it hasn't always done it and I haven't installed anything new for ages. I also just flashed 1.3, so flashing dosen't help either.

Could be that. I'll check. Thanks for the tip.

Cheers gabby131. I've just searched the whole of my contacts and it seems that my hotmail contacts info has been stored in contacts, therefore double storing numbers. That's it then. Thanks alot gabby131. I feel stupid now for starting a thread.

glad to help.....you cab use "Merge Duplicate Contacts" app. it will automatically search for duplicates in you contacts and merge them.
