i just tested it last night by sending myself an MMS and it works just fine.

if i'm already connected to a 3g connection, the mms just goes through normally. no prompt to change any connections.

in my internet connections, i only have 1 3G data connection - for maxis. the rest are WiFi connections. i don't have any dedicated 3g connections for MMS.
funny... in my internet connections setting there are:
connect automatically: always ask(mine); wlan; maxis internet; any connection
search interval: when i choose always ask, this function is disabled. any other option i try, i put it to never too.

I have been using the N900 for SIP Voip calls and its very easy to confgure compared to other phones. I hope Nokia uses the same Sip client for all the future phones. I bought the phone for this feature.

Also the phone automatically changes from 3G to Wifi when in Wifi area.
But when we are out of Wifi area it does not auto change back to 3G.

that's the correct behaviour. when you set it to always ask, the phone assumes the user will always make the decision of which connection to use. therefore, search interval is of no use. search interval is used when you want it to automatically connect to wifi.

I've tried updating the latest fMMS hoping that it'll show a spark of difference. Looks like it's just the same...

I wanna wait till I get to a Maxis centre to change my card since I'll be changing my post-paid plan. Hopefully after that, I'll see some changes with a new card... I'm assuming it's the card problem since everyone else seems to work just fine with those settings...

...my card is nearly 5 years old anyway... hehehhe

Just thought it's worth sharing in case you (Malaysia N900 owners) missed the thread. I was interested in the recent YTL YES 4G. But looks like we may not be able to use it on the N900.

Read about YTL YES 4G:
