hey I have somehow managed to lose all the language packs for the my n900. I want try and factory reset the phone but I can not access that option in settings. when i go to settings and then try to tap the title bar to get to where those options should be... it will just bring up the battery/wifi/ profile info menu. this is because there is a long message covering up where the title bar should be that says "wdgt_va_12h_hours.." etc. all the files on the phone have been changed to long odd names like this. so the regular tap screen button that has the time and battery info has this really long strange sentence which thus makes that tap button cover the entire top of the screen, and overlaps any other buttons that are normally on the top of the screen. this is the cause as to why i can not get into the setting options to factory reset. is there any sort of way to access the factory reset option perhaps through the X terminal? or maybe reinstall the language packs? or am I going to have to flash the thing .

I'd recommend a flash as described in the wiki. As long as you don't do an eMMC flash as well, the settings should not be lost.
