    Is it possible to add this fix to repos? It's so much easier to monitor possible updates through there than individual files from the forums. Thanks for the fix anyways!

    I think this is worked on by MohammadAG and others (this is what is called the 'community SSU').

    As I understand it, one can't just add this package to the extras repo because the one in Nokia's repos is given preference. If tried it would either cause dependency problems or be completely ignored.

    simple. unpin it from /etc/apt/preferences and do apt-get upgrade.

    I hope you don't mind me asking but what's the command to unpin? I honestly didn't read the entire thread, if it is in the thread you can guide me or I'll just go read it all

    Instructions here. The last line of code has a typo in it though, it should be "killall hildon-desktop" not "kill-all hildon-desktop"

    Hi to everyone i have a Question about cpu usage cause when i play music using tunewiki my cpu is using 78% is it normal? and when i'm downloading on application manager my cpu is using 100% that why my phone gets hot quickly and my battery is draining alot quicker than before and i only downloaded some app like conky, tunewiki, psx4m and power kernels version 42 and i don't have anything on the desktops and web browser use 90% of my cpu is it normal guys i need help cause my phone gets hot and my battery drains alot...

    sorry... just to clarify

    so, after clicking the link you gave,

    just install dpkg -i as root and killall hildon desktop

    and that's it right?

    do I need to restart the device?

    No need to restart the device. Also make sure you pin as per the first post else when you upgrade using app manager your hildon-desktop would be over written.

    from all of that i have
    - Enhanced Linux kernel for power users v 46 [non-overclocked]
    - Simple Brightness Applet
    - Recaller
    - 5 desktops
    the rest widgets i have are :
    - FB widget
    - ForcaWeather widget
    - Yellow Sticky Notes widget
    - RSS widget (n900's)
    - Comic widget
    - 3 Queen BeeCon widgets (to 2 PSX games and 1 N64 game)
    and the rest are contacts and 2 bookmarks.

    i'm suffering from fast drainage of battery and its worsen when i connect over wifi, when the phone is idle and the battery is only one dash down Battery Eye calculates the remaining time about 1 day, and full battery 2 days.

    could these widget be the cause ?
