Reboot. Srsly - this frees space (or at least it did when PR1.2 needed installing).

If you don't know what something is, it's a fair bet it's not installed :-)
As it is, go uninstall stuff, then reboot, then try again. If it doesn't work, remove more till it does.

When it tells you it can't install over the air, click the details button and depending what the problem is it may give you a list of programs that you need to uninstall (if they conflict as opposed to too little space).

My update to PR1.3 over the air went smoothly except:
    * I had to reimport my wireless certificate before it would accept my password and connect to the network
    * The excellent 'grr' app started showing blank pages instead of the content (but there is a fix in extras-testing)

I upgraded yesterday manually ( using the flasher ) to PR1.3 Global and one thing I noticed is that few applications stopped working. I did a full reflash of the main firmware and the eMMC. It was the same. The applications mentioned are HealthCheck and Wifi-Eye - both of them require python2.5-qt4-common (4.7.4-maemo0) libraries, but the PR1.3 comes with (4.7.5-maemo1) from there the conflict. Even if you manually downgrade to 4.7.4 the applications would not run - just crash.
Another interesting thing is that my ICQ and Yahoo accounts would not sign in. I am using skype, ovi, facebook, msn, yahoo and icq. All except ICQ and Yahoo do sign in properly.
I used to use the develper repositories ( when was with PR1.2) and had some extra apps like Openwatch, extra protocol plugins for communication and contacts and etc. But now the only extra repository I use is the maemo-extra.
    Anyone similar?

When I tried to update OTA, I encountered a conflict with libgles1x .I my case it was because I had installed "BrainParty" months ago and forgot all about it.

To resolve, I followed the steps here
    http://wiki.maemo.org/OTA_to_PR1.1_troubleshooting

Although this refers to PR1.1. the advice is still relevant

I guess you need to find more recent (extras-testing ?) versions of those two apps then... Down grading just one/some of the QT libraries is not a good plan. Trying to downgrade the whole lot probably isn't sensible either.
I use WifiEye some times, so it'd be good to know it works :-)

[my N900 updated fine on WiFi at home, just rebooted]

WiFi Eye is fine here. My N900 is a lot more stock that yours however, as I almost exclusively use normal extras unless a particular program needs testing/has a fix.
