probably he played with a program who alter led currents. we have no idea about additional programs installed on their n900

i think there is an old bug or timings mismatch in mce
here i explain :
a time ago i write an script who drive led according clock
this script activate a white pattern and the color is chosen by modifying component led current ( mA )
the "light clock" start with black ( 0 mA on all led ) followed by 1 second, 4 pulses of different mA settings and finally an all 0 mA command for 5 seconds
SOMETIMES the first pulse don't have right color but the rest of pulses are always correct. i tried a lot of workarounds ( doubling commands, short white pulse, delay ) with no success.
until i find something coherent i say this happen also with your pattern
my script modify led currents sequentially starting with any randomly chosen ( by me ) color with same result : first led command sometimes fail
final statement:
when charge pattern is activated i suppose the red component is configured first followed by green and the red fail so the remaining color is green. for orange light is necessary a strong red and a weak green so finally you see only weak green.
this is my thought and the bug prevent me to make the script public.
Later edit:
if inside pattern rg is changed to Rg the led flash green.
