Well, now, that's certainly confusing. I wasn't sure if he was using an acronym for something, considering the lack of vowels and the non-existence of 'pls' in any known print or verbal speech or dictionary. Pointing out that it's Internet slang certainly helps to put this person's standings into perspective, I suppose.

Wow - I'm quite stunned that with other 2,000 posts here you're obviously a seasoned internetter but you've never come across 'pls' before....
Sorry - not trying to insult you in the least, I'm genuinely surprised!

How would I know he wasn't seeking "PLS help" for playing streaming media? Or maybe he was seeking help with the PLS? Or maybe PLS? Or web PLS? I mean.. I did try to Google it, after all. I'm similarly surprised at the ambiguous nature of this three-lettered, vowel deprived non-word which has struck this forum thread right square in the topic like a linguistic equivalent of a swift traveling foot upon the clenched sphincter of the Internet's derriere.

Nokia's slogan shouldn't be the pedo-palmgrabbing image with the slogan, "Connecting People"... It should be one hand open pleadingly with another hand giving the middle finger and the more apt slogan, "Potential Unrealized." --DR
