It clearly reads on their website: "on your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Mac and Windows PC"

N900 is not included. It doesn't work on N900. No, period.

You didn't read enough in to it. Whistlephone is a std SIP provider, and since N900 has a built in SIP client, you can set up Whistlephone.

@mdx500
You need to have the SIP settings for Whistlephone, check this tutorial out:

http://truvoipbuzz.com/2010/06/use-w...-usa-tutorial/

Once you have all the settings, on your N900 go to Settings->VoIP and IM Accounts->New then select SIP and enter in all the details. Let us know how you go.

BTW, if you've never used a SIP service with your N900, you're in for a real treat, It is fully integrated (I have SIP, Skype and Cellular calls in and outbound any time of the day, and I don't need some silly app to be running to receive a call ;-)

Ah, I stand corrected then. But why does iDevices need a specific client then? Don't they have SIP capabilities without external applications?

Well, therein lies the main difference between an iPhone and a SmartPhone. The iPhone does not have an integrated SIP client (to my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong). That's why there is an App for just about everything, because the core OS doesn't do enough.

Anyway, SIP integration on Maemo 5 is First Class. The only downside, if there is one, is call quality, which is down to the internet connection speed and quality of the SIP provider (keeping it simple, there are other factors too such as codecs and settings).

Cheers,

travla
