I think he did; just read his posts a bit more carefully

Multitouch doesn't really have anything to do with finger/stylus detection, detection is done by the pressure.
Bummer. But thanks for the info, ragnar (I'm tempted to nickname you "raggie" )

It will be more useful with OS 2008's dynamic clocking -- perhaps there's a daemon that will cap the CPU's max frequency below its normal maximum if temperature is too high?

That, or give you the current temperature with the simple command:

$ /usr/bin/dumptemplog | grep TEMP_STATUS | tail --lines=1 2> /dev/null

..... sweeeeet .....

IR transmitter? So we can use this as a remote to control our TV's and home theater etc... Not bad idea...

Not a joke, but I may be incorrect. It is just something I noticed in the dmesg output that Thoughtfix posted.

I can't find Realtek in the dmesg output from either the N810 or the N800 (OS2008).

A fabulous idea that would further close the convergence gap. Again, it wouldn't have to be advertised, but would [likely] be cheap addition that would extend the usefulness of the system tremendously.

This thing could be the all-in-one device:

1) Download reviews of the a movie you want to see
2) Buy tickets for the movie
3) Set shows for recording that will be on during the movie
4) Pause current show as all of this is taking longer than you expected
5) Order a pair of chinos online
6) Find out where you are in the world (in case you forgot)
7) Answer an incoming SIP phone call from a landline
8) Impress your woman with pictures of your soon-to-be-owned pants
9) Play a quick game of quake (1 frag max) thoroughly embarrassing your opponent
10) Restart your webserver
11) Un-pause the show

All without getting off the couch.

This is the future I want to live in.
