Hi Kenny. Thanks for the compliment. Anyways, modding the screens aint a very difficult thing (but yes, it requires patience and backup :P). I was a total noob like 4 months back when I got this device and slowly and steadily, I learned a lot of small small things. Now if you would like to Mod your device, I suggest using any FTP Client (WinSCP, FileZilla etc) on your machine. On your N900, you will need to install SSH Server and Client (there are so many of these stuff in the Repos).
Now once you are connected using the client, locate the folder /usr/share/themes. Under this, find the name of the theme you are currently using go into it and start exploring.... Before replacing, always ensure you have a backup of the image you are replacing.
Try it, if you get stuck, I'm sure there will be help around here.
