Does Nitdroid still not have the ability to send sms I can see old posts saying it's not implemented, but wondered if that had changed?

Check MyDocs/.nitdroid. The installer downloads the files there. It will check to see if they are in the folder. If they are it should skip downloading them again. It does check with the nitdroid server to get an updated list of files and will download any missing ones.

If you have the files elsewhere, just copy them to the MyDocs/.nitdroid folder.

all seemed to install but on booting nitdroid i get the following

Chroot: cannot execute init: permission denied
