@harvindhillon: I don't get it. You seem to be the third guy that get this result. It worked fine for me going up from 42 to 44. Did you upgrade with the n900 built-in updater app., terminal or the Fast application manager? I used fast application manager and it booted just nicely for me.
Do you have something odd on your sd card, such as some meego?

I'm using multiboot and power44 (with u-boot) and Nitdroid still works. I cannot boot power-kernel from Multiboot, however, but if I don't open the keyboard it will boot power-kernel from the u-boot menu.

I used FAPMAN and App manager, twice same outcome and the second time it was fresh after reflashing.

Yups I formatted my memory card with ext3 with some files on it, not an OS or anything. However I did try booting without the SD card and same outcome too.

Am I right that I should download this somewhere instead and then just use dpkg -i to install instead? Or....hmm?
Indeed, I took hostmode-gui for the first time from MohammadAG site and then upgraded to the last version today through Faster Application Manager.
The version I installed with dpkg -i is in http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/hostmod....2-2_armel.deb.

In the same directory there are the kernel-power-40 files patched by Mohammad, which I installed too.

Then both got overwritten today respectively with 0.2-3 and power-44. And everything works fine!

I had 7 usb sticks. All of them could be opened, either as /dev/sda or /dev/sda1.

    Great work.

harvindhillon: Not really, I'm flabbergasted. Guess you saw in this thread that two other guys got the same result.
I upgraded straight from 42 to 44, could that have made a difference you think? I dunno, but it sounds far fetched.

If you can report exactly what is written above the "booting kernel" line, it will help debugging this issue.

Not working for me... I had 40 installed, I uninstalled it, rebooted, installed 44, and now when I boot it loads something called U-boot (never seen it before!) and hangs at Starting kernel ....
