hey iv been playing with a web app that uses html5 canvas to make like a web based drawing window. just got a n900 in the hope that it would support this. it didnt,. when u try to draw it just scrolls the page. however the samsung galaxy does work. tried it instore. but i went for the qwerty keyboard of n900. tried putting firefox on, still didnt work.

any suggestions?

Have you tried the latest firefox mobile 4 beta, it supports HTML5 to some extent - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/...tes/index.html

Not sure if this will help for the default browser, but it sounds like you need to use cursor mode:

Drag your finger into the screen area from the left hand side and you see a cursor icon appear, click that and instead of dragging the screen around, which is the default behaviour, it will act like a mouse click and drag. Not sure that the default browser supports HTML5, or how you change to a similar mode in firefox, but it may well come in handy anyway, for instance if you want to hightlight text to copy...
