@NokiaRocks: Ok, so you upgraded to 45 (was it from 44?). Would you say things work nicely otherwise (except for the fcam thing of course)?. Why I wonder is because I'd like to upgrade too from the 44 (which actually works fine for me) but I'm a little intimidated now since I've heard so many people having problems with the u-boot thing (on the 44 version that is).
this enhanced kernel update f**cked everyone´s boot??
i don't remember asked uboot to install, but probably it came as dependency of another thing i tried.
there is a way to boot without flasher and without a mmc card?
Just updated to v45. camera still works. fcamera still works. I had already updated with fcam-drivers 1.0.7-2 and v45 does not break this. mobile hotspot works.
great stuff.
@juniorbsd: The 44 version seemed to have screwed up the boot process for SOME people only, for some reason. For me it went well actually, (for some reason though I can't get that u-boot to boot the meego image that was supposed to work.).
I don't really know the reason why this worked for some people and cause trouble for others (different hardware or different preconditions in what was installed maybe). But I know that titan threw in a different u-boot in the 44 version compared to the 43 version. Whatever difference that made for some is not clear afaik.
All these problems that people are having getting flasher to work - incompatibility with 64bit this and 32bit that, dodgy usb hubs, and even plain incompetence on the part of the user All this could have been avoided had Nokia done the right thing and made it so flashing could be done from SD card.
