If anyone has any ideas, please pop into this thread: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=10942

The problem occurred after I used the uninstallation script, so I thought I'd post here. Cheers

Good show PB

Now I'd need another removal script please ;-)

Also questions: How large is the "core" KDE? For the sake of a clean install - can you split the lot into KDE core and KDE apps (individual)?

Since installation 'simply' involves untarring files - can you package it all into a deb file to simplify the process - or are there restrictions on what directories application manager can install to? [ Reading http://linuxdevices.com/articles/AT8047723203.html you seem to have all the prerequisites there anyway including the removal script, heh ]

How good would it be to have a "Window Manager" section in AppMan with simply "KDE" there? And p'raps a KDE Apps section with all the additional programs listed separately - it'd certainly make management and removal of associate data files easier. You could also map the icons for half the apps there in Hildon too so we get to use them in both.

Aesthetics: Better KDE icon in menu please , should take all but 2 seconds to add to the .desktop

Great work - I can see this coming out the beta stages when IT2008 is released (today?)

Well many of those were allready anwered, but here we go again.

No I will not be splitting up the kde tarball, if someone was interested in working with me to do some packaging for next version? but it would take me alone much longer to do this right.

will put together removal script later today
