    with your stylus, give a quick double-tap-and-hold, then drag to select the text

    I still haven't figured out how to select the text of an email message in gmail w/opera though..

    Just tried this and it worked. Took practice to get used to but there was reasonable room for error in both quickness and accuracy of the double tap (on the second tap you want to start dragging right away). Then I went edit > copy so I could copy/paste it
