Hi Guys,

Sorry if this post is in the wrong catagory but it seemed to fit into several of them.

I have owned Nokia BH 214 headset for ages now with no complaints. I can not remember the last time I used it to make/receive a call but today it stopped working. I have been using it for the last few weeks (including today) to listen to music via Media player but trying to make/receive a call results in me having to press the "headset" button on the touch screen to route audio back to the handset.

I have tried re-booting the phone.
I have restarted the headset.
I have un-paired the headset from the phone and re-paired it,

Still no headset for making/receiving calls.

Any Ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance Guys (and Gals)

Atikin, are you running PR1.3? as I am not 100% certain weather I have used headset to make a call since firmware upgrade. I am pretty sure I have but now I am not so sure.

I'm having the same sort of problem; my phone & headset won't "talk" to each orher.

It was working fine the other day & I only got my BH-214 AFTER PR1.3.

So, I'm no help, just reporting the same problem.

Damn those Nikia products!!!!! :P

P.S: If you believe this an OS problem then open a bug report at http://bugs.maemo.org

@bandora...I am not 100% sure it is an OS problem at the moment. I am going to uninstall the apps that I have recently installed (Hope I can remember which ones) and see if that helps.

Just restored my N900 with the backup I made before upgrading to PR1.3 and the headset still has the same problem, so I am guessing that the problem must be a bug with PR1.3.

So I will report this as a bug with the link supplied by bandora.

Possible Good News

My headset is now working. Running backup and performing a restore to the backup made before upgrade to PR1.3 left applications installed that were not installed when PR1.3 was installed.

So I have manually uninstalled all the apps that I installed after the upgrade to PR1.3, restarted the phone and the BH214 was now working.

I have then installed all the applications one by one and checked that the headset still functioned, which it did.

I now have all the applications installed that were removed (so the phone is back to how it was when I had the fault) and the headset still functions. Explain that guys.

Below is a list of the applications that I removed and reinstalled, hope this helps.

Crochik MyContacts
FCamera
RAW Viewer
Timed Silencer
Scout
Search ToolMathiolastopwatch
Recaller

If I can help anyone else with this problem let me know.

Cheers guys
