Is it possible to connect a BT gsm modem to the Nokia Nxx? I was thinking about having it for sms/mms and maybe more.
I don`t need calling on the N800, but able to text sms or even mms would be awesome.
If you have one with 3G/EDGE/UMTS or more I guess you could also surf the web?

something like this maybe?
USB Wireless Modem of EDGE, Supports GSM 850/900, DCS1800 and PCS1900

I know there are also lot of other applications that could be used with sms features.. like checking temperature on gsm enabled temperature devices on server rooms, turning on/off your power with gsm devices connected to different apparatus. I also know software that enables you to check the status on your burglar alarm + turining it on/off with Edge and Java appliacation.

A small BT modem is easy to have in your pocket or even velcro on the batterycover of your N8xx.

Maybe a usb powered gsm modem to plug in when surfing the web and no wifi hotspots and able to text directly to and from your Nxx?

Maybe this one?

The GT-703 Bluetooth GPRS modem is a wireless modem with tri-band operation, it can communicate with host platform via bluetooth Serial profile. With the help by this intelligent modem, you are able to send SMS messages and make/take voice calls or log on the Internet really wirelessly anywhere and anytime with your PDA/ notebook computer (Embedded Bluetooth SPP).

Unfortunately, a) it's being discontinued, and b) it's only GPRS and not even EDGE (nor faster).

Here is a link.. But it is with usb interface. I was just making a picture of something that would be similar to what I would like..

It would be nice to just connect it to the mini usb connection on the N800.
