I'm heading out tomorrow for a long overdue vacation. Most of tomorrow will be spent
on an airplane wth my little N800 to keep me entertained. I'm only recently purchased
it so I'm still getting familiar. Since they don't have wifi on the plane I need to load up
all I want. Has anyone had luck with saving flash games to a sd card? Can I optimise
somehow to get some smoother running games? By allocating some virtual memory or
something? I'd like to encode a movie or two, but I'm not gonna have the time. I think this time around it's all gonna be about some games and a free e-book or two. Music too. I'm in need of some good time killers! Anyone have some game suggestions? Flash or otherwise? Speaking of flash, I can rarely get anything other than some point and click adventure games to work. I've found flash Sonic and Prince of Persia, but both run painfully slow.

Anyone have some good suggestions for games? Movie sites? Other suggestions? I'm all ears!

For a plane trip I would google Dice Wars and keep it running after switching to offline mode (if this is all possible). Mahjong solitaire, music and fbreader would take care of the rest. One movie should be enough for when really bored but doesn't hurt to put on as many as you can

Check there for some free ebooks.

A movie or two shouldn't be too hard to convert, just convert it to MPEG4/MP3 audio at about 400x240 1250Kbps and 25-30fps.

ScummVM, FBreader with some ebooks, Star Control II - The Ur-Quan Masters, Battle for Wesnoth, FreeCiv, Exult, and Ultima 8 to name a few timekillers. Carry a few cards loaded up with some video too.
Bouncing back and forth across the planet I usually read a ton on my N800 and while in airports with wi-fi I'll crank up Slingplayer on my N95 to watch a little TV at the airport bar during long layovers.

Ur-Quan runs my battery down fast. That's a big problem with plane rides. I wish nokia would come out with an extended battery.

That's perfect.

I personally use a lot of different converters. This one here is one of the easiest.

Nethack will keep you busy for a lifetime It has a huge learning curve if you have never played it before.

If you are going to have an internet connection, you can play online games.
