communication is more than 60mb and is growing constantly.

my communication folder is over 78mb. i have 3 different googlemail accounts plus I have an exchange account. could these be the reason my backups are so large?

Deleting older messages, that you already "saved" on your desktop
(if you receive the same emails on N900 and desktop)?
I know that cleaning up the email system is tedious.

Even more if on several machines.
