sorry that you're misinformed. The sygic 9 maps work fine with mm10 in fact both a malaysia map, as well as a combined map for a few countries in se-asia are available. i've been using the latter since april of this year. please get your facts straight before bashing Sygic. the maps aren't as detailed as garmin maps, and lack some POIs, however work is underway by a msian user to update the current sygic m'sia map . check out this screenshot :

so in other words, i buy sygic 9 for SEA then get the free upgrade to sygic 10 and all is fine and dandy??
sygic has been very quiet about this and i emailed them before asking about m'sian maps for MM10 and they never replied. so that leaves a bad impression and i'll bash them anyway!
