damn! I got it working but now it won't work again! LOL
I've always had luck with havoc settings on t-mobile (USA) after following the other settings noted on the fmms wiki page.

i don't actually use fmms to create/send MMS, but this at least allows me to receive oversized SMS that seems to get auto-converted to MMS by t-mobile.

I'm having a little of trouble with this, so any help would be appreciated.
Everything worked fine prior to flashing PR1.3. I was able to send and receive using my normal Vodafone UK connection. I can still send using this connection but when I want to view new messages, I have the message:
"To retrieve the MMS your active connection will need to change". It then cuts the internet connection.

Ironically, my wife's phone does not have any of the same problems.

My Vodafone config settings are correct both in fMMS and in my internet connections.

What info can I provide to get help?

I can't get fmms to work. It either says
101 network unreachable - check settings
    or
    Timed out - check settings.

This despite have solid 3.5g signal.

I am on O2 in UK

    Hi

I just recently downloaded fmms 1.3.0, Trying to send and stuff. So I'm using vodafone Australia.

    APN: live.vodafone.com
    MMSC: http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend
    HTTP Proxy: 10.202.2.60
    Port: 8080

So thats what i Inputed. So like when I send, it does say message sent but the other side doesn't receive my mms. So what setting should i put. small medium large? polike rude havoc? the no. +61 or 0. Should i do it under 3g setting or 2g setting. Question like that. I sent like alot of mms but only like 2 were recieve for some reason. Maybe i Keep fiddling to much and now i dont know the optimal setting to send. Also when they do recieve my mms, its not the picture they receieve, its the link that they have to go to see the picture, so is that normal??

Here's a new one. I only have 1 internet connection which is my standard Vodafone Internet GPRS (I deleted one called MMS using fAPN) and now when I receive an MMS, fMMS automatically connects to the internet. I open the MMS itself normally, and the message downloads automatically without asking to swap connections and crash.
In essence, it works now, but I'm not that keen on it connecting to the net automatically. Anyone else's automatically connecting?

    wap.vodafone.uk
    port 8799
    212.183.137.12
    mmm.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
Resize setting is medium and network mode is rude (I had polite before).

Ok my last post with regarsd to probs with version 1.28 & I was asked to do the X terminal thing & upload it, so X Term came back & said it couldn't find the package..FMMS so I un-installed it & tried to re-install it & it told me it was missing bits & pieces of files etc so I took a chance & installed version 1.30, successfully, & treid to send a MMS only for it to time out so I went to X terminal & tyed in the command & got ...
    cp: cannot create ' /home/user/MyDocs/ ; is a directory

I've checked the Documents folder & deleted the tmp folder retried the command "cp /tmp/fmms.log /home/user/MyDocs/" get the same message & checked again still no log file regarding fMMS.

Sugestions including chucking this junky N900 away or even selling it & going back to my N96 till my contract expires & skip out nokia phones all together!

Right, lets do this the easy way.
Install FileBox, ensure root access is enabled under settings, then navigate to /tmp/fmms.log, press and hold on it, then select copy.

Navigate back to MyDocs or where ever you want to put the file and press paste.

That does the same thing but without using terminal.

Read up on Unix and Linux, including shell scripts/terminal commands.
